Most Searched Fears, 2012
Polymer Letterpress Print, Glow in the dark ink
15.25″ x 20.5″ unframed
18.25″ x 23.5″ framed
Word clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. This cloud depicts the most common fears searched on the Internet, ex: “fear of the dark.” The data was collected from an advertising tool that tracks search queries across multiple search engines including Google, Yahoo and Bing. The print has a minimalist appearance when the lights are on. When the lights are turned out, the contents glow and appear to be floating in the air.
